Judith Katz

After graduating from the famous School of Performing Arts, Judith attended Manhattan School of Music, where she earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Performance on the flute, and later on, a Master of Music degree in Education.  Her flute studies were with Abraham Silverman, Harold Bennett, James Politis, and Herbert Levy.

Ms. Katz is the Center Director of the long-established Salute to Music program in Queens, NY, where she conducts the most talented Queens middle school students.  In addition, she is a member of the adjunct teaching staff of Hunter College, where she teaches an introductory woodwind course to music education majors.

Ms. Katz has written two volumes of flute duets for Oceanna Music Pubication, as well as numerous works for flute ensemble, and woodwind quintet published by Imagine Music Publishing, and available on Sheet Music Plus.  In addition to her chamber music compositions, Judith has concert band pieces published by Northeastern Music Publications.
